1.Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how AI Bench Recruiter (“AI Bench Recruiter,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use the AI Bench Recruiter web application and the AI Bench Recruiter Chrome extension (together, the “Service”).
AI Bench Recruiter is a recruiting assistant. It helps recruiters manage consultant and candidate profiles and their skills, search supported job portals, identify jobs that match those skills, and export job information.
2.Information We Collect
We collect only the information the Service needs to work, as described below.
Account information
You sign in with your Google account. From Google we receive your name and email address, and we create an internal account identifier for you. We never receive or store your Google password.
Billing information
If you start a trial or subscribe to a paid plan, payments are handled by Stripe. We store your Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, your plan, its resume allowance, subscription status, and trial and billing-period dates. We do not receive or store your full card number.
Consultant and candidate information
When you upload a resume (PDF, DOC, or DOCX) or enter a profile yourself, we collect the professional details it contains, which may include:
- Name
- Contact information, such as email address and phone number, when provided
- Location
- Current and previous job titles, and total years of experience
- Skills
- Education and certifications
- Work authorization, only where it is stated in the resume or entered by you
- Preferred roles, status, and notes you add
Resume files are not stored. We read the file’s text to extract the details above and keep only those details plus the file’s name, type, size, and upload time.
Job information
From job listings on supported job portals, and from job searches you run, we collect publicly displayed listing information such as:
- Job title and company name
- Job description and required skills
- Job URL and the portal's job ID
- Location, work type (remote, hybrid, on-site), employment type, and pay or salary as shown
- Posted date and the portal it came from
- Hiring contact details as displayed on the listing: the job poster’s name, headline, and profile link where the portal shows them, and any email address or phone number printed in the posting
We also store the match score and matched skills we calculate for each job.
Application and extension data
- Saved skills and the consultant currently selected
- Job source list and search-related settings, such as search keywords and when a search was run
- Matched and shortlisted jobs, call-queue status, follow-up dates, and notes
- Submission tracking, such as submission status and interview dates, that you record
- Export-related information, such as when an export was last made
- A log of actions taken in your account (for example, a resume uploaded or removed), used for your account history
A few interface preferences (such as your customized job-site list and whether you have dismissed a notice) are kept in your browser’s local storage and are not sent to us.
What we do not collect
- We do not use analytics, advertising, or cross-site tracking tools.
- We do not collect your browsing history.
- We do not collect or store your passwords, cookies, or multi-factor codes for job portals.
3.How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Authenticate you and keep you signed in
- Create and manage recruiter accounts, trials, and subscriptions
- Process uploaded resumes and extract and save relevant professional skills and details
- Search supported job portals using saved skills
- Match jobs against consultant skills and calculate match scores
- Let you review, shortlist, and track jobs and submissions
- Export job information to Excel
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
- Maintain security, enforce plan limits, and prevent abuse
- Provide technical support and respond to your requests
We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not use it for credit scoring, lending, or other purposes unrelated to the Service.
4.Chrome Extension
The AI Bench Recruiter Chrome extension has a single purpose: helping recruiters discover job postings on supported job portals and match them against their consultants’ saved skills.
Where it runs
The extension works only on the supported job portals (LinkedIn, Dice, Monster, Indeed) and on the AI Bench Recruiter web application. It does not read other websites. Clicking its toolbar button on any other site only shows a list of supported sites.
What it reads
When you view a job posting or a search-results page on a supported portal, the extension reads the job listing information on that page, including:
- Job title and company
- Job description and skills
- Job URL
- Location, work type, employment type, pay, and posted date
- Hiring contact details shown on the listing, such as the job poster's name, headline, and profile link, and any email address or phone number printed in the posting
When you analyze a search-results page from the extension’s side panel, it may also open the individual postings from that page in the background, within your own browser session on that portal, to read their full descriptions.
What it stores and sends
- The extension compares each posting it reads with your saved skills and shows a match score. Only postings that match at least one saved skill are sent to your AI Bench Recruiter account.
- Jobs it has read, your saved skills, the selected consultant, your name, email, and account identifier (mirrored from the web application), and delivery status are kept in the extension's local storage in your browser.
- Excel exports made from the extension are created in your browser and are not uploaded.
- To load your saved skills and deliver matched jobs, the extension connects to the web application using your existing sign-in. It does not store sign-in tokens of its own.
Permissions it uses
- Access to supported job portal sites: to read job listings and show the match badge and side panel on those sites.
- activeTab and scripting: to open the side panel on the tab you are using and in supported job tabs that were already open.
- storage: to keep your saved skills, settings, and captured jobs locally.
- offscreen: to read the text of job postings loaded in the background without changing the page you are viewing.
The extension does not collect your browsing history, does not sell data, and does not use data for advertising. Information received through the extension is used only to provide the extension’s single purpose described above, in line with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
5.Data Sharing
AI Bench Recruiter does not sell personal information. We share information only with service providers that are necessary to operate the Service, and only for that purpose:
- Google: sign-in (Google OAuth) and data storage (Google Sheets through Google Cloud).
- AI model provider (OpenRouter): resume text is sent to extract skills and profile details, and, where AI match scoring is enabled, profile and job details are sent to score matches.
- Stripe: payment processing and subscription management for paid plans.
- Hosting provider: the infrastructure that runs the AI Bench Recruiter web application.
We may also disclose information if required to do so by law, or where reasonably necessary to protect the rights, safety, or security of our users, the Service, or others.
6.Data Retention
We keep information only as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, or as needed for legitimate operational or legal purposes.
- Resume files are not retained; only the extracted details and file metadata are kept.
- When you remove a resume, consultant, or candidate in the application, the record is archived: it no longer appears in your workspace or counts toward your plan, but it is retained in our records to preserve your account history. You can ask us to delete archived records permanently.
- Data stored by the Chrome extension stays in your browser until you clear its saved jobs or uninstall the extension.
- Billing records are also retained by Stripe under its own policies.
There is currently no self-service option to delete your whole account. To request deletion of your account or of specific records, contact us at phpkish@gmail.com.
7.Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect information, including:
- Sign-in through Google, so we never handle your password
- Signed session tokens to identify signed-in users
- Access checks so that each account can reach only its own records
- Database access only from our servers, using restricted service credentials kept out of the application code
- Resume files processed in memory and not stored
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8.Your Choices and Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information. You can:
- View and edit consultant details and skills directly in the application
- Remove resumes, consultants, and candidates from your workspace
- Clear the extension's saved jobs, disable it, or uninstall it at any time
- Request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information by emailing phpkish@gmail.com
We will respond to requests as required by applicable law and may need to verify your identity first.
If a recruiter added your information to AI Bench Recruiter as a consultant or candidate, you may contact that recruiter or us to make a request. Recruiters are responsible for having appropriate permission to upload candidate information.
9.Third-Party Websites
AI Bench Recruiter works with third-party job portals, currently LinkedIn, Dice, Monster, Indeed. These websites are operated independently and have their own privacy policies and terms of use, which apply when you visit them. AI Bench Recruiter does not control these websites and is not affiliated with or endorsed by them.
The same applies to Google and Stripe pages you are directed to for sign-in and payment, and to WhatsApp if you contact support through it.
10.Children's Privacy
The Service is intended for professional recruiting use and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
11.Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be published on this page with a new effective date.
